Industrial and Process Engineer I-III

Uses fundamental engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to analyze operational data/methods, identify performance improvement opportunities, and/or implement technology systems that meet business objectives.

Technology & Systems

Support specific material handling sortation systems, design specifications, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system integration for manual sort facilities. Analyze vendor supplied equipment and support project installation and testing.

Facilities & Material Handling Engineering

Support the development and design of sites, buildings, offices, material handling systems, and sortation equipment. Support vendors on preventative maintenance efforts for material handling and manual sortation equipment.

Facilities & Material Handling Project Management

Plan, direct, control, and implement the engineering, construction, and start-up of Fed Ex Ground sortation facilities and material handling systems.

Industrial Engineer & Process

Provide analysis, reporting tools, and engineering support for Fed Ex Ground field operations to effectively control and/or justify operational costs.

Operations Research, Planning & Analysis

Analyze data to support the tactical and strategic development of long-term network design and capacity planning for current and future FXG facilities.

Operations Technology

Research, design, develop, deploy, and/or support new and current technology solutions to improve performance and reduce operating costs. Participate on cross-functional project teams responsible for implementing new technology.

Facilities & Material Handling Procurement Engineer I

Provide analysis, and engineering support on key material handling system commodities that require specific technical knowledge to procure for Fed Ex Ground sortation facilities and material handling systems.

Operations Technology Security Engineer

Oversee security of all OT devices on the Fed Ex Ground Network, interfacing with IT, Info Sec, and Network Services on all OT Security initiatives.

Essential Functions

• Analyzes performance data within engineering. Utilizes engineering tools and software to analyze data and answers basic engineering questions.
• Researches, analyzes, and effectively consolidates technical or engineering related information and presents for management review.
• Prepares, with management guidance, accurate expenditure proposals and/or cost justification analysis.
• Formulates and presents document research, progress, and results to team members and internal customers.
• Applies project management fundamentals and concepts with management guidance; develops progress reports, meeting minutes, and field communication memos for management review.
• Participates in Control Self Monitoring (CSM) and/or Business Control Self-Assessment (BCSA) process within area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical or quantitative degree (e.g., mathematics) required.
