In addition to the responsibilities of career level designers, you are responsible for leading the design effort from concepts through construction. The senior designer performs the role of leader with the required knowledge and experience base for which other more junior designers and engineers rely. Senior level designers perform work with little to no supervision, review the work of other designers and engineers for accuracy and completeness, and provide technical guidance related to their area of work to designers and architects of all levels.
At this level, experience and self-guidance are expectations. Depending on project need, assists with assessments, design solutions, and calculations under the direction of a project architect. Code review, analysis, conversation, understanding, and implementation are key senior designer duties.
