Summary of Role
MTS Etch Process Engineer – Develop processes for new technology offerings and advanced manufacturing to expand GF’s technology portfolio.
Essential Responsibilities- Collaborate across product development and process integration to determine and develop etch processes.
- Develop and execute experiments to progress R&D projects in a 200mm High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) foundry environment.
- Collaborate with experts across GF fabs to promote sharing and learning across fabs.
- Collaborate with Equipment Suppliers to determine industry capabilities and evaluate options applicable to GF technology roadmap.
- Follow up with cross-fab benchmarking activities to engage the best-in-class practices across fabs.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Education – Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. Degree in electrical/electronic, mechanical, microelectronics, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics or related field.
- Experience – Minimum 5 years of working experience in etch process development.
- Skills – Knowledge and hands‑on experience with etch tooling; fluency in English language – written & verbal.
- Experience – Worked in a semiconductor fabrication facility.
- Experience – Broad knowledge in 200mm patterning processes.
- Project management skills – ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
Expected salary range: $98,000.00 - $. Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
