Sr. Equipment Engineer - Reactive Ion Etch

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with maintenance technicians and process engineers to meet production demands.
• Drive continuous improvement projects with respect to equipment availability, cost reduction, and yield improvement.
• Establish and manage spare parts to meet repair budgets.
• Support cross-functional problem solving, involving facilities, maintenance and process engineering.
• Work with procurement and suppliers to select strategic equipment and ensure continuity of spare part supply and quality.
• Manage installation and startup of new or retrofit equipment.
• Mentor and lead lower-level equipment engineering team members.

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

• Required – Educational background: bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or related engineering field; BS + 2-4 years of relevant field experience OR MS + 1 year relevant field experience.
• Understanding of and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Understanding of pumps, high vacuum systems and RF generators.
• Strong problem solving and communication of action plans.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Fluency in English (written & verbal).
• Physical capacity to lift and carry parts up to 30 lbs, stand, or bend and crouch to inspect or work on equipment in the clean room for extended periods.

• Experience with supplier and contractor management.
• PLC, control systems and instrumentation.
• Project management and communication of plans.
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, equipment and clean room facilities.
• Basic data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $69,000.00 - $. The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
