A Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) RF Layout Designer is responsible for leading the physical implementation of high‑performance RF/analog integrated device test structures, circuits, and support technology development and PDK enablement. The candidate will enable new nodes for the future of RF communication, bridging circuit design, device technology, and manufacturable layout to ensure optimal performance, yield, and reliability. Responsibilities include hands‑on CMOS layout design, automation scripting, and collaboration with device/process teams to define and validate design rules and layout methodologies.

• Deliver qualification test chips on time.
• Coordinate with multiple teams and drive projects in a timely, cost‑sensitive fashion.
• Train junior engineers and strive to improve quality of the workflow.
• Lead medium‑size projects and small teams as required.

Required qualifications:

• BS + 8-10 years of experience, or MS + 7 or more years, or PhD + 5 or more years.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience on RF/Analog layout designs.
• Proficient in Cadence Virtuoso and Skill programming.
• Very familiar with foundry design rules and able to reason and, if needed, compact designs.
• Experience leading small teams and acting as a technical/project lead.

The role may require a US Department of Defense Security Clearance at some point during employment. Acceptance of this role commits to applying for such clearance if requested.
