NRG Associate Mechanical Engineer

• Works in collaboration with Sales and Project Management to Support Met Station project needs including: customer facing construction drawings, design & documentation work"
• Develops requirements and specifications for mechanical designs
• Reviews project documents for conformity to standards, processes, and quality
• Estimates time, quickly and accurately, to complete tasks for a project
• Participates in investigations/root cause analysis on product issues
• Identify features to improve products and participates in continuous improvement activities
• Develops new methods, tools, and processes for solar site drawings
• Remains current with market trends and relative innovations for our products
• Conducts clear high-quality presentations to internal and external groups, for example, conducting design reviews
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology degree and a minimum of 0 – 2+ years of mechanical design engineering work experience including:
• Part design, assembly layouts, and design for manufacturability and reliability
• Usage of computer software for creation of parts, assemblies, BOM/drawings, and manufacturing files using Solid Works design tools; AutoCAD software a plus)
• Specifying mechanical components for performance, cost, and manufacturability
• Experience designing injection molded, machined, and sheet metal parts
• Comfortable with hands‑on part creation and assembly of complex electro‑mechanical assemblies
• Operates mechanical test equipment (measurement devices, laboratory equipment, etc.)
• Comfortable learning and using unfamiliar software for testing systems, sensors, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Strong Interpersonal skills; facilitates and leads collaborative efforts while encouraging positive attitudes; adapts approach to work well with diverse personalities.
• Strong Communication and leadership skills; ability to influence team and drive deadlines on projects.
• Detail oriented; ability to digest and organize information to apply to projects or produce comprehensive and concise documentation.
• Creates and embraces change; resilient in the face of ambiguity and changing priorities; ability to influence change.
• Strong work ethic and sense of self-accountability; self-motivated.

• Work performed in a climate-controlled office environment or warehouse environment
• Primarily duties performed in a seated or standing position
• Occasional work performed outdoors at local test sites
• Must comply with health and safety requirements
• Occasional travel to customers to perform field work

Compensation - $70,000 - $80,000
