Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation:
    Starting pay rate of $18.15, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary

The Mountain Operations Dispatcher is an integral part of our operations team, responsible for coordinating various activities to ensure a seamless and safe experience for our guests. The role involves managing communications and responding to emergencies and guest requests. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized, and customer‑focused individual who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Summary of

Key Responsibilities Communication Coordination
  • Monitor and facilitate two‑way radio communications between Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, Lift Maintenance, and other resort staff.
  • Relay important information, updates, and emergency announcements to the relevant departments and guests.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with resort employees to ensure smooth operations.
Emergency Response
  • Act as a point of contact for emergency situations and coordinate the response of Ski Patrol, Lift Maintenance, and other relevant teams.
  • Dispatch Ski Patrol to accidents, injuries, and other incidents at the resort.
  • Dispatch Lift Maintenance to mechanical and electrical problems with lifts.
Guest Assistance
  • Assist guests in need by coordinating services such as transportation and medical attention.
  • Field guest inquiries and provide information about resort services, events, etc.
Record‑Keeping
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of communications, incidents, and responses.
  • Assist in compiling incident reports.
Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with ski patrol, guest services, maintenance, and other resort departments to ensure a cohesive operation.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Previous dispatch, emergency response, or customer service experience is a plus.
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of skiing and snowboarding terminology and resort operations is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using two‑way radios and communication systems.
  • Ability to work in high‑stress situations and make quick decisions.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use communication equipment.
