WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Tax Senior Associate, you’ll work with a high performing team of accounting and financial professionals while identifying and implementing processes that serve high‑net‑worth individuals and businesses. Your leadership will be key to delivering exceptional tax services, driving the compliance function for clients including supervising the preparation and technical review of individual, partnership, pass‑through entities, and corporate tax returns.

  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of client services: payroll, A/P, A/R, bookkeeping, and more.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead client kick‑off meetings with the Sales Team, establishing a solid rapport with clients as you take on the accounts.
  • Financial prep, review, and consulting:
    Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Quarterly Meetings:
    Run or attend meetings with clients to go through how they are doing and provide feedback and estimated tax projections.
  • Quarterly Estimates:
    Review client's YTD business and personal income and recalculate their upcoming required estimated payment, create a list of items to consult with the client.
  • Tax Return Preparation:
    Prepare business and individual income tax returns.
  • Tax Issue/Strategy Research:
    Perform tax strategy research and calculations for unusual tax issues and problems outside of day‑to‑day tax preparation tasks.
  • Tax Notices:
    Prepare responses or call tax agencies to help clients.
  • Sales Tax:
    Prepare and submit sales tax report to state.
  • Detail Review:
    Compare source document to Client’s software, review tax return entry work done by other staff.
  • Financial Statement Preparation:
    Assist with the month‑end preparation of board financial statements, utilizing different account systems related to the client's industry, reconciling, and reviewing work papers, etc.
  • Organize and update the tax database.
  • Record tax entries into accounting software.
  • Understand and apply tax reduction strategies.
  • Prepare and/or review financial statements.
  • Provides accounting support to the team as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
