About Us

Clasp is a venture-backed, mission-driven startup transforming access to education and career pathways. We are revolutionizing the way employers attract and retain critical talent and the way colleges and universities support their students through education financing — all while tackling the student debt crisis. (Yep, we think BIG.) We like to think of ourselves as more than a fintech; we're a catalyst for economic mobility.

A Forbes Fintech 50 company, portfolio company of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management — the largest HR organization out there!) and recipient of "Startup of the Year" by Start Up Boston, Clasp is driven by our commitment to social impact and innovation.

Our work spans two business lines:

Clasp Talent helps healthcare employers attract and retain critical talent by connecting them with diverse candidates and using student loan repayment as a powerful recruiting and retention tool. We meaningfully connect employers, educational institutions, and learners to drive mutual benefit.

Clasp Finance equips colleges and universities with lending technology to launch and operate their own private student loan programs, enabling schools to step in and support their students directly with financial aid. Recent federal financial aid changes are reshaping how institutions think about supporting their students, and Clasp Finance is poised to meet this moment.

Join us on our journey to give power to learners and unlock fulfilling careers that drive positive change in their communities and beyond.

What We Need

Clasp is looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive product experiences for our student lending business (Clasp Finance) as our business experiences unprecedented growth. Clasp Finance is the platform we sell to colleges and universities so they can stand up and operate their own private student loan programs — supporting their students with institutional financial aid at a time when federal aid alone is no longer enough.

In this role, you will own the product strategy and roadmap for Clasp Finance, including our in‑house loan origination system, our proprietary credit models and the tooling we use to monitor and report on the servicing of our loans. You will inherit a platform that has earned real traction with schools and is actively powering Clasp Finance's growth. Your charge is to take it to the next level — deepening the feature set, scaling its foundations, and shaping the enterprise‑grade system that will anchor Clasp Finance's continued expansion.

You will report to the Director of Product, who oversees both Clasp Talent and Clasp Finance product areas and work closely with the General Manager of Clasp Finance.

What You'll Do
  • Own the Clasp Finance

    Roadmap:

Set and drive the product strategy for Clasp Finance, partnering with engineering, sales, lending operations, credit, and compliance to deliver a platform that meets the needs of school customers and the borrowers they serve. You will be accountable for both the borrower‑facing application experience and the school‑facing administrative tooling and reporting.
  • Scale to Enterprise Grade Reliability: Partner with engineering to define reliability and scalability requirements, and help prioritize technical investment against customer and business needs.
  • Engage Schools as Customers: Work directly with financial aid offices, bursars, treasury teams, and IT leaders at colleges and universities to understand how they want to operate their loan programs. Translate those needs into product requirements that work across diverse institution types — from large state universities to small private colleges to professional schools.
  • Own the Borrower

    Experience:

Design application flows, underwriting decisioning experiences, disclosures, co‑singer flows, identity verification, and funding and disbursement processes that are both compliant and intuitive for students and their families.
  • Establish Servicing Oversight Tooling: While Clasp does not service its loans directly, we are accountable to our school customers for how that…
