The Town of Fairlee is seeking a reliable, experienced and detail driven individual to serve as Town Treasurer.
Responsibilities- Manage Town funds, including tax collection and deposits
- Prepare tax bills and track delinquent accounts
- Maintain financial records and reconcile accounts
- Provide monthly reports
- Assist with budget, Town Report, and audits
- Assist with tracking and monitoring of grant funding/reporting
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting is required
- Knowledge of Vermont municipal finance
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills
