This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Swanton Sector, Richford Station, located in Richford, VT. Additional selections may be made beyond the total number of vacancies specified using this vacancy announcement. Duties

This position allows you to plan and carry out a wide variety of administrative, management and program planning activities, policy research and other duties related to the missions and functions. 1) to $81,882.00 (GS-09, Step 10). GS Salary:

As a Mission Support Specialist (Generalist), you will assist with providing direct advice and guidance to USBP employees at all levels. Duties and responsibilities include:
Researching suppliers and working with requesters to procure goods and services, then preparing required documents and submits for approval. Coordinating with supervisor and staff to ensure receipt of documents and that actions are completed in a timely manner. Gathering necessary information and preparing briefing materials for the supervisor or other senior management officials. Preparing reports with data from internal data sources as well as Agency automated systems for regular and one-time informational needs by senior managers.

Requirements

You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service. Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years. Qualifications

Experience:

You qualify for the GS-9 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Conducting inventories, assisting with records management, and preparing and/or processing of various property reports. Developing and maintaining various electronic files, creating staffing reports, PowerPoint presentations, and spreadsheets. Participating in special studies and analytical projects related to current and proposed organization and program initiatives. Assisting higher graded specialists and supervisors with managing base pay, premium pay, overtime, and leave entitlements and administration.
