Clinical Dietitian

Position Summary

• Evaluates, Assesses, and plans nutrition care to meet patient nutritional needs:
• Assesses patient's nutritional status using documented medical information and established nutritional standards
• Counsels patients and/or families by identifying nutrition-related problems. Develops plans of instruction and nutritional care, and monitoring results.
• Identifies inpatient at nutritional risk and documents recommendations.
• Diagnose and develop intervention for patiens with malnutrition
• Participates in physicians' rounds, discharge planning rounds, and conferences with nutritional implications.
• Conducts education programs for patients, community groups, and staff.
• Precept and mentor new staff or existing staff in clinical specialty areas.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with multiple subspecialty care team members and providers that enables planning and participating across a broader spectrum patient care.
• Cross-Covers Broader spectrum of patient care areas and subspecialties as needed.
• Performs other duties required or assigned.

• A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from an accredited college/university is required.
