Job Description:

Under the direction of the assigned Site Supervisor or Manager, performs activities to ensure timely and accurate posting, authorizations for treatment, abstracting patients’ charges, and data entry functions related to front-end failures that hinder our ability to secure reimbursement.

• Education and Credentials:
  High School Diploma or GED required. AAS. Associate of Applied Science Business or Health Care related required.
• Experience:
  
  Two (2) years of charge posting and abstracting experience, working knowledge of the authorization process, and working with insurance companies preferably in a hospital outpatient environment or equivalent.
• Knowledge: medical terminology and anatomy, ICD-9/CM and CPT-4 coding, ability to calculate discounts, interest, percentages accurately.
• Skills:
  
  Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, working knowledge of department, data entry skills test required.

  Pay Frequency:
  Bi-Weekly. Salary Range: $21.07 - $28.98. Wage determined by experience, qualifications, internal equity, and collective bargaining agreement.
