To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing CT studies.

• Education and Credentials:
  Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology or graduate of approved ARRT Certification program required. Completion with a passing score of a cross sectional anatomy exam required. If Certified, cross sectional anatomy exam not required. Radiology Technologist required. ARRT (R) required. ARRT (CT) within 3 Years required. NYS Certification for IV Contrast Admin within 90 Days required. Must become certified in CT within 3 years of hire/transfer and sit for first exam within 18 months from hire/transfer and successfully pass within 3 years from hire/transfer.
  
  Certification must remain current and active. Employees hired into job prior to 8/24/04 are grandfathered for ARRT-CT. ARRT-R must be current and maintained for any employees hired/transferred effective 6/12/12. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days from hire or transfer required. Existing Imaging Technologists as of 11/10/2020 will have until 8/31/2021 to obtain their BLS.
