The Inpatient Physical Therapist Will

• Utilize the physical therapy process to deliver comprehensive patient care in an inpatient setting.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department and outpatient setting as needed.
• Carry out individualized programs that encompass assessment, treatment planning, implementation, education, and ongoing communication, all aimed at maximizing each patient's progress toward achieving functional goals.
• Evaluate patients recovering from surgery, trauma, or acute illness, creating tailored rehabilitation strategies to enhance mobility, strength, and overall functional independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide hands‑on therapy and educate patients and their families on effective recovery techniques.
• Meticulously document patient progress and communicate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and optimal care within the unique challenges of a rural healthcare environment.
• Assist in the decision making for patient admission, discharge planning, and if further placement may be required.
