Job DescriptionThe Behavioral Specialist will support students and staff in social‑emotional learning and behavioral challenges. This role involves collaboration with building leadership and providing training, consultation, and supervision to promote learning and behavior changes. The successful candidate will conduct functional behavioral assessments, develop and implement behavioral intervention plans, provide crisis intervention, monitor progress, and lead multidisciplinary teaming efforts, ensuring data‑driven evaluation of interventions.
The district is willing to provide training for an appropriately qualified candidate.
- Collaborate with building leadership to support staff and students in social‑emotional learning and behavioral challenges.
- Provide training, consultation, and supervision to promote learning and behavior changes.
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop behavioral intervention plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and continuous progress monitoring.
- Participate in and lead multidisciplinary teaming, monitoring the effectiveness of interventions based on data.
- Manage assigned students, planning, developing, and evaluating programs to meet identified behavioral and social/emotional needs.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
