Job OverviewVermont Learning Collaborative (VTLC) is a dynamic non‑profit agency serving southeastern Vermont. We offer programs and district services to support students and families.
Responsibilities- Complete functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavior observations in school‑based and home settings.
- Develop individualized behavior plans.
- Complete skills‑based assessments (e.g., VB‑MAPP, ABLLS, AFLS).
- Contribute to IEP development and complete progress reports as scheduled.
- Provide IEP‑based services and general classroom or programmatic consultation.
- Demonstrate safety‑care procedures and support de‑escalation and behavior management.
- Support staff by modeling behavioral strategies through direct interaction with students.
- Create plans tailored to the student’s age, needs, disabilities, social skills, and developmental level.
- Manage data collection: design data sheets, oversee methods, analyze data, and train staff.
- Conduct staff training and lead professional development.
- Provide ongoing supervision of registered behavior technicians (RBTs).
- Collaborate on an interdisciplinary team (SLPs, OTs, PTs, teachers, clinicians, support staff, RBTs, leaders, community partners) to implement behavior plans and strategies.
- Maintain current training in evidence‑based practices.
- Adhere to laws, policies, procedures, and ethical standards of the field, creating a positive and safe learning environment.
- Implement programming that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion for all school community members.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Special Education.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification;
Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) preferred. - At least 3 years of relevant experience with elementary and middle school students having moderate to intensive needs.
- Experience with therapeutic supports for students’ social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
- Evidence of completing 8‑hour supervision requirements (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Flexible and creative, responsive to changing agency needs.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between locations during the workday.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
