The NKHS Children's Department is seeking a compassionate and dedicated clinician to join our outpatient team serving children, youth, and families throughout the Northeast Kingdom. In this role, you'll help young people overcome challenges, build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and improve their overall emotional and mental well-being.

The Children's Outpatient Clinician provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, documentation, and collaboration with schools, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to support positive outcomes for youth and families.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide evidence-based therapy to children, youth, and families
  • Complete assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, documentation, and progress notes
  • Support youth and families during crisis situations, including risk assessment and safety planning
  • Collaborate with schools, caregivers, medical providers, and community supports to coordinate care
  • Help youth build coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and long-term wellness

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related human services field required
  • Vermont licensure eligible required; licensure preferred
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families required
  • Experience supporting youth with emotional and behavioral challenges preferred
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment approaches preferred
  • Strong communication, assessment, and clinical documentation skills

Pay & Benefits:

$52,603 to $71,169 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package including:
