Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is a 501(c)(3) private not-for-profit organization operating with the purpose of promoting a high quality, comprehensive community mental health program in Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom. Our mission is to enrich communities and enhance the ability of individuals and families to improve their lives.

NKHS is seeking a dynamic and experienced Outpatient Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in both mental health and addictions. The Outpatient Therapist will be responsible for conducting screenings, assessments, and evaluations, as well as providing individual and group therapy sessions.

NKHS is a 501(c)(3) private not-for-profit organization operating with the purpose of promoting high quality, comprehensive community mental health programs in Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom. Our mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities by promoting hope, healing, and support. NKHS is a Designated Agency contracted with the State of Vermont to provide the highest quality of service in the areas of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, children and youth with serious emotional disabilities, and adults with mental health and substance use challenges.

We serve the populations of Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties through a wide variety of targeted programs for individuals of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and complete biopsychosocial evaluations and diagnoses.
  • Provide individual, couple, group, and family psychotherapy sessions.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance job skills and stay abreast of best practices.
  • Perform professional mental health assessments and develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with individuals and their families.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a recognized field of mental health preferred.
  • LCMHC, LICSW, LADC or eligible to be rostered in VT as a non-licensed & non-certified psychotherapist required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience providing therapy services to both mental health and addictions population preferred.
