Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

The Kingdom East School District is hiring two full‑time Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to support speech-language pathologists in assessing and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLPA will implement programs, monitor alternative communication devices, and provide clinical interventions to enhance students' language skills for accessing the general learning environment.

• Assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Implement speech and language programs or activities as directed.
• Monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems.
• Provide observable student data that meets classroom or IEP goals for students with developmental delays or other special needs.
• Deliver goal‑directed services to help students access instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional, and independent manner.

• High-school or trade‑school degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or valid work visa required.
• Successfully complete Para Pro assessment or hold an associate’s degree or higher and complete required SLPA training.
• Background check including fingerprinting required upon employment.
• Ability to drive between assigned school locations during the school day.

Position type:
Full‑time. Pay range: $20.28 to $27.78 per hour.
