Travel Certified Surgical/Scrub Technologist
Seeking a Travel Certified Surgical/Scrub Technologist to join the Perioperative Services team at a critical access hospital in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Bring clinical expertise to support surgical procedures and deliver high-quality patient care in a rural healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures by maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and supplies, retracting tissue, supporting patient positioning, and assisting with surgical workflow.
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures while maintaining a safe and organized surgical environment.
- Support perioperative patient care by assisting with patient transport, positioning, specimen management, documentation processes, and postoperative preparation activities.
- Participate in on-call coverage and be prepared to scrub urgent or emergent procedures within required response times.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
- Current BLS CPR certification required from the American Heart Association.
- Previous operating room experience required.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.
- Ability to participate in call coverage and respond within required time frames.
