Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Perioperative Services team at a critical access hospital in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. This role involves supporting surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and providing high-quality patient care in a community-focused setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures by maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and supplies, and supporting surgical workflow.
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures.
- Support perioperative patient care by assisting with patient transport, positioning, specimen management, documentation, and postoperative activities.
- Participate in on-call coverage and respond promptly to urgent or emergent procedures.
- Maintain sterile environments and manage surgical instruments and supplies with precision.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
- Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Prior operating room experience.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.
- Ability to participate in on-call responsibilities and respond within required time frames.
