Must-Have:
Traveler must have their own vehicle. Proficiency in echocardiography exams. Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high-stress environment. Ability to move and lift patients, equipment, and supplies regularly. Willingness to cross-train for vascular examinations.

Description:

The Sonographer performs echocardiography exams, including sub-specialty exams. Techniques employed include two-dimensional and color Spectral Doppler and M-mode imaging. The Sonographer images patients as requested by the ordering physician. Independent work is expected, with consultation from the ordering or interpreting physician as needed. The role requires the ability to synthesize varying amounts of data related to the patient's medical history. The Sonographer is responsible for the patient's welfare for the duration of the examination.

The position requires operation of HIS and CIS computers and knowledge of clinical emergency equipment. Any requested time off during the assignment must be documented at the time of submission. Requests for time off after submission will not be approved. Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work designated holiday blocks if scheduled. No more than five days of requested time off will be accepted.
