ABOUT THE ROLE:

Front Office Admin provide initial contact between the patient and the office. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care through scheduling, registration, file maintenance and billing procedures.

This is a part time position (20 hours a week with possibility for more) that will float between Rutland and Castleton Express care. Hours will be evening hours approximately 4:30pm - 8:00pm a few weekdays plus (1) 12 hour shift on Saturday or Sunday.

This position is eligible for shift differential incentives.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Answers the telephone.
  • Schedules appointments.
  • Directs calls to appropriate staff.
  • Provides appropriate information as needed.
  • Directs customers to appropriate staff.
  • Registers patients.
  • Enters or updates patient information in computer.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior office experience preferably in a medical setting.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills.
  • Basic medical terminology preferred.
