- Certifications/
Experience:
ARRT MRI certification; minimum 2 years MRI experience; teaching facility experience;
Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Perform MRI examinations following protocol, including appropriate patient positioning and immobilization
- Select and adjust MRI sequences to meet exam objectives while ensuring image quality
- Administer IV contrast when clinically indicated and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Screen patients for contraindications, ensure patient safety, and maintain infection control standards
- Operate MRI equipment, calibrate coils and sequences, and manage patient monitoring during scanning
- Document procedures and findings in the EMR (Epic) and communicate results to radiologists and care teams
- Collaborate with radiology staff, anesthesia, and surgical teams as needed; float within radiology as required
- Participate in on-call rotations (e.g., nights, weekends) per unit schedule
- ARRT MRI certification (or equivalent verification)
- Minimum 2 years of MRI imaging experience
- Teaching facility experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to work a rotating 8-hour schedule including days/evenings and on-call shifts
- Flexibility to float to related radiology modalities and to participate in cross-department workflows
- Successful completion of credentialing and any facility-specific onboarding processes
