American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a critical access community hospital, requiring 2+ years of current RRT experience and Cerner proficiency.
Requirements- Minimum 2 years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience required
- CRTs will not be considered for this position
- NBRC certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Vermont RRT license required (license required if applicable)
- Must be able to work independently with ventilators, various PAP modalities, high-flow O2, and perform PFTs
- Must be willing to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and Pulmonary Rehab
- Cerner EMR experience required
- 6+ months of previous travel experience highly preferred
- Schedule accommodation requests will not be considered for this position
- Must have own vehicle
- Critical access community hospital setting within the Respiratory Therapy department
- Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
- Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts on Friday/Saturday/Sunday (36 hours guaranteed)
- Weekend work required, including holidays if needed
- No on-call requirements
- Cerner EMR used
- Work independently with invasive/non-invasive ventilation, draw ABGs, and assist with airway management including intubations
- Perform PFTs as needed
- Set up and operate various respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease under supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy
- Function independently and manage varying degrees of patient care problems
- Business casual dress code or personal scrubs of any color permitted
- Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled:
Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend - Travelers may not take all holidays off
- Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted, and all requests must be finalized prior to submission
- Scheduling and RTO requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
- 3-strike call-off policy enforced; call-offs must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
