Overview
Guest Experience Team Member at Lark Hotels, located at Field Guide Lodge in Stowe, VT. Team Members are responsible for the critical first impression guests have of our properties, demonstrating exceptional hospitality in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner to ensure guests’ experiences are memorable. This position requires an outgoing, enthusiastic personality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work without constant direct supervision.
We are currently looking for 2 or more Team Members (Full Time or Part Time). Pay is $18 - $20 hourly, depending on skill level. Potential to grow in an intimate, boutique environment; discounted rooms for Friends and Family; and the ability to travel to other properties to support during peak seasons.
- Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, providing the correct keys and room numbers and informing them of policies.
- Answer incoming calls and questions about guests’ needs in-person and online regarding room bookings, room rates, amenities, rewards programs, and special requests.
- Develop personal connections with guests and teammates and grow as an individual.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be comfortable on their feet; walking on the property is a perk in itself.
- General bookkeeping:
Ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and up-to-date, and assist in continuing the guest experience through local and state knowledge. - Handle customer complaints confidently when needed, and develop interpersonal skills with team members.
- Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests.
- Knowledge of the Lark brand and the properties in the portfolio.
- Room to move up with a fast-growing boutique management company, with the potential to travel through the company to assist other properties.
- Knowledge of reservation management systems and relevant software; familiarity with Lightspeed, Clock PMS+, and Microsoft Office is helpful.
- Comfortable taking telephone calls, responding to emails, and mitigating stressful situations.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of hotel industry experience or related job preferred.
- A food and beverage background is a plus; versatile employees are valued.
- A self-starter who identifies tasks and executes them promptly and professionally.
- Dedicated to making magical memories and experiences for all guests.
- Exhibits working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems; working knowledge of hotel POS such as Lightspeed and Clock PMS+.
- Possesses strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
$18 - $20 hourly.
