Job Summary
We are seeking a Spa Houseperson responsible for deep cleaning within the spa and pools, ensuring cleanliness and stocking of amenities.
Responsibilities- Be on time for each shift and flexible with schedule.
- Clean treatment rooms and public spaces using vacuum, broom, cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents.
- Empty trash throughout the spa, wiping down trash cans as needed.
- Pick up and restock towels, straighten chairs throughout indoor and outdoor pool areas.
- Break down coffee and water stations after spa and fitness center have closed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, well‑organized spa environment through consistent monitoring.
- Clean steam rooms and saunas nightly.
- Engage with guests and actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
- Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with company standards.
- Communication – Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, members and the general public.
- Oral comprehension – Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Customer focus – Ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
- High work standards – Sets high standards of performance; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments with attention to detail.
- Problem solving / decision making – Ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; use effective approaches for choosing a course of action.
- Must be flexible enough to work multiple shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED (preferred). - Previous housekeeping or professional cleaning experience required.
- Minimum one‑year experience providing customer service in a high‑end fitness center or luxury spa environment is a plus.
- Excellent personal appearance, good communication skills and friendly, congenial personality.
- Ability to work in high‑volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focus on the guest.
- Must consistently stand, walk, squat, use hand to write, talk, hear, see, taste, smell while performing duties.
- Regularly lift and/or move at least 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include distance vision and peripheral vision.
- Regular attendance mandatory.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
- Environmental conditions:
One‑on‑one and small group interactions throughout spa. Noise level moderate.
Pay Rate: $20 to $22.00 per hour.
