HR Operations Specialist
Contribute tothe smooth and employee-focused work of the People Operations teamconcentrating on time and labor, absence management, benefits,payroll, and maintaining accurate employee information in the HRIStool (Oracle HCM). Promote operational efficiency through implementation and maintenance of departmental forms and workflows.
Respond to and resolve issues through collaboration with variedstakeholders. Deliver direct customer service and operational support to ensure prompt, courteous and knowledgeable assistance toall customers.
- This is a full-time, benefits eligible,hourly position with a hiring range of $25.20 - $29.84 perhour.
- Support endusers of the Oracle HCM system (HRIS).
- Answer routine end user questions related to timekeeping, system navigation, and otherbasic HCM functions, and understand/track trends with an eyetowards continuous improvement.
- Act assubject matter expert for the Oracle HCM timekeeping and absencemanagement functions, maintaining documentation,troubleshooting/resolving any issues, and owning oversight of customer experience and issue resolution.
- Stewarddepartmental webforms and corresponding workflows/automation,partnering across the department to monitor and improve processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Processeducation-related benefits for employees and their dependents,one-time payments, and independent contractor requests in a timelyand consistent manner.
- Monitor forand correct Oracle HCM data issues based on scheduled audit report sand issues identified while supporting employees.
- Create and maintain Oracle HCM records for contractors, visiting scholars, and various other non-employee categories.
- Collectworkplace injury information and initiate Workers Compensationprocess.
- Participate in departmental process improvement efforts.
- Associate'sdegree preferably in Human Resources, office management or related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong attention todetails and ability to manage complex tasks and projects.
- Ability tojuggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, stressful environment andhandle confidential information with discretion.
- Able toproject a warm, welcoming, and competent image to customers andmeet all customers where they are in providing support.
- Experience working with cloud-based human capital management systems such as Oracle or Workday is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, team collaboration and database systems.
- Solid knowledge of general office procedures, equipment, etc.
- 2+ years ofHRIS or payroll operations experience required, preferably inhigher education.
General office environment with long periods of computer work. Must be ableto manage multiple priorities in a high stress environment and beable to maintain confidentiality of information. This role is entirely in-person.
