About the role

Bixal is seeking an Intermediate Drupal Developer to support the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Drupal-based digital platforms for HSICC. This role focuses on building accessible, user-centered solutions that support content publishing, search optimization, and performance at scale.

You will work closely with engineers, UX designers, and content strategists to implement iterative improvements aligned with Agile delivery practices and federal standards.

This is a full-time position contingent on contract award. You’ll have the opportunity to join a project that directly supports Bixal’s mission of improving how government serves people. While the project has a defined timeline, we believe in open communication and proactive career support. You’ll be kept informed of contract status — and we’ll be here to help you grow into what’s next, whether within this project or beyond it.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $115,000 – $125,000. In the spirit of transparency, most offers tend to land near the midpoint of the range. We make compensation decisions thoughtfully, considering your experience, the skills you bring, and our commitment to internal equity. Fairness and transparency are core to how we operate.

Responsibilities

Drupal Development

  • Develop, configure, and maintain Drupal themes, modules, and components.
  • Support CMS enhancements, content workflows, metadata tagging, and search optimization.
  • Implement accessibility-compliant and USWDS-aligned designs.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint commitments.
  • Collaborate with UX and Content teams to implement user-centered improvements.
  • Support documentation and code repositories.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus at least 4 years of Drupal development experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing Drupal websites in regulated or enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with federal CMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with bilingual or multilingual content implementations.
