Healthcare IT Director

Gifford is seeking a visionary and results-driven Healthcare IT Applications Director to lead our healthcare system’s digital transformation. In this high-impact role, you will be the primary architect of our hospital software strategy, ensuring that our Electronic Health Record (EHR) and ancillary applications empower clinicians to deliver world-class patient care. You will bridge the gap between technical IT execution and frontline clinical needs, managing the full lifecycle of applications from selection to enterprise-wide optimization.

This role encompasses strategic road mapping, IT governance and stakeholder leadership, vendor and budget oversight, team development, and compliance and security assurance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading large-scale EHR implementations, exceptional project management and leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex, cross‑functional teams under pressure.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field is required, with a Master’s preferred, along with at least 15 years of IT experience, including five or more in a senior leadership role within a healthcare setting.
