• Perform agricultural work in a commercial scale maple sugaring operation.
• Operate tree-sap tapping equipment and agricultural machinery, including a tractor with loader, rear-mounted attachments, pickup truck, ATVs, and other farm vehicles; and chainsaw.
• Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers, tools, supplies, or crops around the farm properties; and transport workers to stores or facilities as needed.
• Drive if required; possess a valid driver’s license if requested (no worker will be rejected for not having a driver’s license).
• Do precision coring of "tap-holes," set spouts, crimp, cut, and connect food-grade flexible PVC tubing; install and repair PVC piping up to 2 inches.
• Clear brush, install, replace, maintain & remove tubing systems; tap maple trees; evaluate health of sugar maples for sap production; monitor sap flow; pull taps at season end; and clean equipment.
• Stand, bend, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods in woods and mountainous environments.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; work Monday through Saturday; training provided; tools and equipment furnished at no cost (including snowshoes).
• Work may require long shifts (9.5 hours, 7:00 am–7:00 pm Mon-Fri; 5-hour shift on Saturdays); 30-minute lunch break.
• Schedules may vary due to weather, orchard conditions, and other factors; follow safety protocols and take direction in simple English.

• Ability to work in cold weather down to 15 degrees and on snow-covered ground up to 4 feet.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments; capable of standing, bending, kneeling, etc.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work well with others.
