Job DescriptionKingdom East School District seeks a Maintenance/Custodian for the purpose of working with Lunenburg School’s building and grounds crew, performing the daily cleaning and sanitary actions needed to keep a safe and healthy school, with minor repair and alteration of the campus buildings and grounds. This position requires custodial tasks including cleaning, disinfecting, dusting and floor care, as well as maintenance tasks.
Candidates shall have proven experience collaborating with others, written and oral communication skills, keeping buildings and equipment operating. Experience must include optimizing daily custodial and some maintenance efficiencies, preventive maintenance/custodial practices, and maintaining a safe and healthy facility. Maintenance practices, as well as repairs should be expected, both independently and as part of a team.
This position is a full year, full benefit, hourly position which includes standard vacation and insurance packages.
Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools – Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy – or another high school of their choosing.
We are located about 3 hours from Boston, Montreal and Portland, ME. Our region is known for breathtaking views and access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and other outdoor opportunities. We are close to the White Mountains and the Green Mountains. Both Littleton, NH and St. Johnsbury, VT have numerous fine and performing arts venues.
