• Operate trucks and equipment for road, sidewalk, and utility maintenance
• Plow, salt, and sand streets and sidewalks in winter
• Perform excavation, asphalt/concrete work, and infrastructure repairs
• Maintain water/sewer systems, buildings, and grounds
• Support special events and cross‑departmental projects
• Be on‑call for snow removal (Nov 1 – Apr 1)

• Valid driver’s license & good driving record
• CDL preferred
• Basic mechanical and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must live within 60 minutes of Essex Junction

• $20.05 to $24.00 per hour based on experience
• CDL training paid after probationary period by the City

• City pays 95% of premium
• Employee pays as little as $24.28 bi‑weekly for individual coverage and $68.22 bi‑weekly for family coverage
