We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Director of Buildings and Grounds to provide strategic leadership for our district's facilities, grounds, maintenance, custodial services, vehicle fleet, and capital improvement projects.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring our schools are safe, welcoming, efficient, and well-maintained for students, staff, and the communities we serve. From long-range facilities planning and major construction projects to daily operations and emergency preparedness, the Director helps create environments where teaching and learning can thrive.

ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Buildings and Grounds is responsible for:
- Leading and supervising district maintenance and custodial staff.
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Managing district facilities, grounds, athletic facilities, and vehicle fleet.
- Planning and overseeing construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
- Developing and administering the annual Buildings and Grounds budget.
- Managing purchasing, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA/VOSHA, AHERA, EPA, ADA, fire and life safety requirements, indoor air quality, water quality, and other applicable regulations.
- Collaborating with school administrators to support safe, efficient, and well-maintained schools.
- Responding to facility emergencies and leading emergency preparedness efforts.
- Promoting energy efficiency, sustainability, and long-range facilities planning.

Full-Time Salary: $90,000 to $105,000 Per Year
