Chef/Manager — Camels Hump Middle School
Camels Hump Middle School is looking for a Chef/Manager to lead our kitchen — someone who sees school nutrition as real cooking, real food, and real impact on kids' lives.
We're a district actively building a scratch-cooking program, sourcing locally whenever we can, and rethinking what school food can be — and our Farm to School program is a big part of that. You'll help lead that work at the building level, working closely with our community and staff to keep it strong.
What You'll Do:- Oversee and support our school nutrition staff
- Plan menus, and order food and supplies
- Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch for students and staff, following federal school lunch guidelines
- Partner with our community and staff to support our Farm to School program
- Manage day-to-day kitchen operations — record keeping, ordering, some financial management.
- A high level of cooking experience and confidence running a working kitchen
- Interest in nutrition education and collaborating with staff
- Knowledge and experience managing allergens and dietary accommodations
- Some experience with food ordering and financial management
- Supervisory experience
- Good communication skills and comfort with computer programs like Google Suite
