Summary of Role

Head of Department Leadership Position within the advanced module manufacturing engineering team. This position is for an individual to lead a Fab 9 Module Engineering Organization. This executive position will be required to provide clear leadership, vision and motivate the team. The leader will enable the organization to improve manufacturing quality, delivery, cost and productivity performance. The person will have people management responsibility for multiple departments and job responsibilities including equipment and process technicians and equipment and process engineers.

Overall equipment productivity improvement and stability is critical to this team’s success and the leader will drive best practices to enable. The leader must work across organizational boundaries to enable the best outcome for Fab 9 and GF.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of multiple module year strategies to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, Team and development factory goals.
  • Skilled in the development or overall organizational capability.
  • Experience in leading manufacturing engineering, unit process development, and characterization.
  • Responsible for process and equipment engineering supporting manufacturing production.
  • Experience leading manufacturing engineering teams and managing in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading four shift 24x7 maintenance organization to meet factory uptime and CT needs.
  • Create continuous improvement culture throughout the organization.
  • Ability to work across organizations to enable improved processes and teamwork with Technology Development, Characterization, Quality, Supply chain, and Procurement
  • Ability to lead teams across shifts including equipment maintenance activities and continuous improvement activates.
  • Ability to lead teams to complete complex deliverables and make appropriate engineering-based decisions.
  • Ability to lead factory wide strategy imperatives to meet yearly goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a tightly coupled team are a must.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Education – BS in Engineering or equivalent 10 years minimum experience including prior Management Experience.
  • Traveling up to 10%
  • Fluent in English Language – written & verbal
