The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves managing production schedules, supervising staff, and optimizing workflows to meet production targets and company goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to meet production goals.
- Ensure production efficiency while maintaining product quality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or process inefficiencies.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in budget planning and cost control for production operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar leadership role in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of production management, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills to assess performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
