About The Role

Ultimately, this role ensures that manufacturing processes are uninterrupted and that final products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications- At least 2 years of experience in raw material procurement or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of raw material specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry, particularly in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, or consumer goods.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices related to raw material sourcing.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision‑making.
- Manage the procurement process for raw materials, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Conduct regular quality assessments and inspections of incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with production planning to align material availability with manufacturing needs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as quality assurance, production, and logistics to resolve material‑related issues.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain improvements.
The required skills in raw materials are applied daily to evaluate supplier quality, ensure compliance with material specifications, and maintain inventory accuracy.
Strong negotiation and communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and optimize procurement processes.

Preferred skills such as certification and ERP experience enhance the specialist’s ability to implement best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
Physical Demands- Primarily sitting at a desk with occasional need to stand, walk, and reach for items.
- Fine motor skills for typing on a keyboard and using a mouse.
- Ability to lift and carry light objects (up to 25 pounds) occasionally.
