ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules to support customer delivery requirements and operational priorities.
- Coordinate production sequencing and scheduling based on labor capacity, machine availability, material supply, and order urgency.
- Monitor manufacturing progress and adjust schedules as needed to address changing priorities, supply constraints, or operational disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with production leadership to ensure schedule attainment and workflow efficiency.
- Work with Supply Chain and Purchasing teams to ensure raw materials, components, and subassemblies are available to support planned production.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, excess inventory, and potential supply risks.
- Support inventory accuracy initiatives through transaction verification, cycle count coordination, and ERP system discipline.
- Assist in managing safety stock levels and material replenishment strategies.
- Maintain accurate planning data within the ERP/MRP system, including lead times, BOMs, routings, work orders, and scheduling parameters.
- Release and manage production work orders in alignment with operational priorities.
- Analyze production and inventory data to support planning decisions and operational improvements.
- Generate reports and KPIs related to schedule adherence, inventory performance, backlog, and on‑time delivery.
- Serve as a key communication link between Production, Engineering, Customer Service, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
- Participate in production meetings and operational reviews to communicate priorities, risks, and recovery plans.
- Support engineering change implementation activities and coordinate production transitions for new or revised products.
- Assist customer service teams with realistic lead times and delivery commitments.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, production flow, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, throughput, and delivery performance.
- Assist in developing standardized planning procedures and operational best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of production planning, manufacturing scheduling, materials planning, or related operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, industrial technology, engineered products, or configurable manufacturing environments.
- APICS/CPIM certification or similar supply chain/planning certification.
- Understanding of BOM structures, production routings, and demand forecasting principles.
- Must have advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with BI systems (Power BI)
- Lean Manufacturing experience-manufacturing processes and inventory replenishment methods such as Kanban, VMI, Consignment, etc.
- Experience working with ERP preferably Syteline Experience
