Stonewood Farm, Inc. seeks temporary workers in July and September and for the October–December growing and slaughtering season. The role involves assisting in feeding, cleaning, and raising poultry for slaughter, and performing all aspects of poultry processing on the farm. All processed poultry is raised on-site and is 100% handled by Stonewood Farm, Inc. The work is physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting of up to 80 pounds, and involves long periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and stooping.

Workers must be able to operate agricultural equipment safely and work in a variety of extreme weather conditions.

• Catch and move fowl to the processing area.
• Hang live poultry in shackles and perform bleed‑out operations.
• Execute knife cuts, remove, separate and prepare viscera.
• Debone and grind meat, and apply labels and record weights.
• Maintain USDA‑specified cleanliness of all rooms and equipment, including blood pans, rendering barrels, floors, toilets, and walls.

Shift schedule: 8‑hour shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm; an optional 4‑hour shift Saturday between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm; and a 2‑hour shift Sunday between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. A 60‑minute lunch break is staggered between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, and workers also receive a 15‑minute morning break and a 15‑minute afternoon break, as agreed with management.

The employer will provide one day of training and allow two days of work for workers to satisfy the duties described. All tools and equipment are supplied at no cost, and workers are expected to arrive in suitable clothing and able to follow simple English directions.
