Overview
The American Red Cross of Northern New England is seeking volunteers to assist with local blood drives as a Blood Donor Ambassador in Washington County. This is a hands-on in-person volunteer role with a well-known humanitarian organization that supports blood donation efforts in the community.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience.
- Engage with blood donors to promote blood donation and encourage long-term commitment to regular donations.
- Assist donors with re-hydration after donation and monitor for post-donation reactions.
- Express gratitude and ensure each donor is sincerely thanked for their donation.
- Friendly, in-person volunteer mindset with a passion for the Red Cross mission.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to interact respectfully with donors and staff.
- Willingness to represent the Red Cross positively and provide strong customer service in a healthcare-related environment.
