Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive medical-surgical care with occasional pediatrics in a supportive Vermont hospital. The role involves coordinating patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and delivering holistic treatment in a scenic rural setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients, with the flexibility to manage occasional pediatric cases.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and perform clinical assessments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient status accurately and timely in Meditech or relevant electronic health record systems.
- Support a multidisciplinary team by fostering communication and ensuring patient needs are met compassionately.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe care environment.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Hold a current Vermont RN license or multi-state licensure valid in Vermont.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) is required prior to start.
- Experience with Meditech electronic health records is preferred.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork abilities.
