Assesses and treats patients’ health problems, including case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive care. Executes medical regimens prescribed by licensed health care providers in accordance with NYS regulations. Adheres to Kaleida policies and standards of practice.

• Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – permit required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire and must be maintained thereafter.
• RN – Critical Care

• American Academy of Pediatrics or American Heart Association – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire/transfer for RN Critical Care in the Emergency Departments; must be maintained thereafter.
• American Heart Association – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within one year of hire/transfer for RN Critical Care in Emergency Departments; must be maintained thereafter.
• All Emergency Departments: require 1 year of acute care experience or 1 year of EMS/paramedic experience.
• Adult
• Requires 1 year of previous healthcare or hospital experience.
