Position: Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Location: Berlin Corners

Overview

Registered Nurse – ICU in Berlin, VT. This travel, temporary assignment starts on 07/13/2026 for 6 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,014 to $2,173. Shifts are 12 hours (3x12 Nights). This is a hospital-based ICU unit assignment within a health system network.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care for critically ill adult patients in the ICU, including monitoring vitals, hemodynamics, and respiratory status.
  • Administer and titrate IV drips and medications; assist with cardioversion, bronchoscopies when appropriate, and moderate sedation; participate in airway management as needed.
  • Manage ventilation support (including weaning and extubation) and respond to rapid responses and code blue events hospital-wide.
  • Perform invasive and noninvasive procedures within scope (central line management, arterial line care, EKG interpretation, blood product administration) and coordinate care with Respiratory Therapy.
  • Document in the patient chart using the EMR (EPIC); manage medication dispensing through the unit’s system (PIXIS) and ensure accurate handoffs on shift changes.
  • Coordinate patient transfers from regional critical-access facilities and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for complex care and discharge planning.
Requirements
  • Current registered nurse license in good standing; state-specific licensure as required.
  • Certifications:

    ACLS and BLS required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start; CCRN and PALS preferred; NIHSS is required before start.
  • Experience:

    minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience; prior ICU/critical care in a high-acuity setting.
  • EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required.
  • Ability to float to medical-surgical/ER units as needed; capable of working flexible, 12-hour night shifts and a rotating schedule.
