Location: Berlin Corners
Overview
Registered Nurse – Med‑Surg Tele, Berlin, Vermont. Travel assignment starting 07/20/2026 for 16 weeks, 3x12‑hour night shifts. Weekly pay range: $2,366–$2,424 per week. No guaranteed hours. Work setting: hospital medical‑surgical unit with telemetry; strong teamwork and a patient‑centered approach.

07/20/2026 - Setting: medical‑surgical unit with telemetry in a hospital
- Orientation: bi‑weekly orientations; next available start aligned with assignment
- Provide direct patient care on a Med‑Surg Telemetry unit, including post‑op ortho, urology and GI cases, COPD, CHF, diabetes, and end‑of‑life planning
- Apply, interpret and respond to telemetry rhythms; monitor Mindray cardiac monitors and respond to rhythm changes
- Perform peripheral IV placement and NG tube insertion as required on the unit
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies using Epic for charting and Pyxis for medication dispensing
- Collaborate with LPNs/LNAs and unit staff to ensure safe, continuous patient flow and timely documentation
- Communicate with patients, families and care teams; participate in rounds and discharge planning as applicable
- Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Vermont (or eligibility)
- BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to starting;
Telemetry certification required - Minimum 5 years of Med‑Surg Telemetry experience or 3 years of Tele experience (combined with relevant Med‑Surg practice)
- Prior travel experience required
- EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years
- Must have completed 2 travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities OR have prior experience at any UVMHN acute care facility
- Ability to work on a Med‑Surg Telemetry unit with occasional float infrequently
- Access to reliable transportation; on‑site parking available
- 24/7 recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment
- Bi‑weekly orientations and ongoing onboarding support
- On‑site parking; on‑call rooms available for on‑call staff as needed
- Dedicated support throughout the assignment and clear escalation path
- Clear communication on assignment details, scheduling and expectations
