Charge Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule:

7:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• Vermont RN License or Compact
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
• 2 years recent Medical Surgical Rehabilitation experience
• Charge RN experience required
• Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) required
• Must have own vehicle for transportation

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
• Float to units within scope of practice as needed.

Compliance / Notes:

• All requested time off (RTO) must be noted at the time of submission; no additional RTO requests will be approved after submission.
• Background checks and drug screens may be required.
• Orientation of 8 hours is non-billable.
• Compliance with the attendance policy is mandatory; three call-offs may lead to contract termination.
