American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care position requiring a VT or compact license, LTC experience, and comfort working with dementia patients.

• Long term care/rehabilitation nursing unit
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Minimum every other weekend required, with scheduling adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Monday to Sunday scheduling with no block schedules permitted
• Floating to other units required as needed
• All units care for dementia patients

• Active VT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
• Prior LTC experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Comfortable working with dementia patients

• Provide nursing care within a long term care and rehabilitation setting
• Coverage required for 2 of the following 4 holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
• Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area
• All-season or snow tires recommended for vehicles during November through April
• Preplanned time off must be communicated upfront, as requests cannot be accommodated once the assignment begins
