A stable, long-standing power producer is hiring a hands‑on Forestry & Compliance Manager to secure wood fuel for biomass energy while keeping operations fully aligned with Vermont’s forestry regulations. This role blends fieldwork, supplier management, and regulatory oversight—perfect for someone who thrives on variety and responsibility.
What You’ll Do- Source and manage wood fuel suppliers
- Inspect forests, evaluate timber, and develop harvest plans
- Prepare regulatory notifications and maintain compliance with state permits
- Track inventory, supplier performance, and purchase records
- Coordinate with forestry teams, plant staff, and regulators
- Bachelor’s in Forestry (SAF‑accredited)
- Vermont forestry license or equivalent credentials
- Experience in timber harvesting, biomass, or forest operations
- Comfortable working outdoors across varied terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills
- Mix of field and office work
