Position: Annual & Perennial Crew - Full Time
Location: Thetford

Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center is seeking Seasonal Crew Members to join the Annual and Perennial (A&P) Department for the 2026 season. The A&P Department is a small team that manages three retail greenhouses containing annuals, vegetable starts, herbs and native perennials, as well as a certified organic cut flower garden.

Seasonal, March/April–September/October

Part Time or Full Time

Weekend Availability Required

Responsibilities
  • Greenhouse propagation and plant maintenance: seeding, thinning, potting, watering, fertilizing, deadheading, pest management
  • Retail Support: helping customers find plants, answering questions, restocking, assisting with curating and maintaining displays
  • Cut flower garden: prepping beds, transplanting, irrigating, trellising, weeding, perennial plant maintenance, harvesting, drying, arranging bouquets
  • Collaborating with and assisting other departments and with farm-wide events as needed (one-team mentality)
Qualifications
  • At least one season of experience in nursery and/or general farm production, general farm crew/vegetable production, cut flower production, or nursery experience. Two seasons are preferred.
  • Interest in and/or knowledge of herbaceous perennials, native, and pollinator plants is a plus
  • Consistent attention to both detail and efficiency
  • Positive, friendly interpersonal skills and clear consistent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Flexible, creative, and able to perform well in diverse conditions and under pressure
  • Ability to work for long durations in inclement weather – standing, sitting, bending over, lifting and kneeling
Compensation

This is a seasonal position, March/April through September/October. Minimum of 24 hours per week, with the possibility of more (up to 40 hours per week) if desired. The seasonal crew position is hourly with benefits including paid sick leave, fresh produce, a 20% discount at our farmstand and cafe, access to an employee assistance program, and a 403(b) retirement plan with a 5% employer safe harbor match.

Pay range is $15-17/hour depending on qualifications.
